Serralunga d'Alba

The castle, from the top of the town, dominates the famous UNESCO heritage vineyards

The castles of the Langa of Barolo

Ancient noble residences and castles that for years defended prestigious territory.

Landscapes, vineyards, villages, culture and food and wine

Serralunga d'Alba

The small village of Serralunga is built around its castle which rises at the top of the hill.

The imposing medieval castle dominates the surrounding landscape and its characteristic profile draws the eye from afar.

For many centuries the castle has controlled the territory that surrounds it and has observed and protected the work of people in the vineyards.

The orderly and luxuriant vineyards, from which Barolo wine is born, create the unmistakable landscape that UNESCO, in 2014,  includes in its list of world heritage list.

To experience the prestigious wines that are born from these beautiful vineyards, visit the numerous wineries and wine bars of Serralunga d’Alba but do not forget the first rate restaurants where you can taste the excellent food and wine combinations of the Langhe

Castiglione Falletto

Just in front of Serralunga, at the top of another hill, is Castiglione Falletto and its castle with its characteristic round tower.

Here too, vineyards surround the village and the area is dotted with wineries that produce excellent Barolo wines.

Barolo

Climb a few hills to reach Barolo, the small village from which the most prestigious of wines takes its name.

Here, in the castle cellars, Barolo was born.

Around the wine, its history, and its economy revolves the entire life of Barolo with its exceptional vineyards, the renowned wine cellars, the prestigious restaurants, the Enoteca Regionale del Barolo and the Wine Museum.

Monforte d’Alba with its magnificent historic centre …

La Morra and Novello with their spectacular views …

and then Alba, the capital of the Langhe and  of  the  truffle

and many other places to visit throughout Piedmont: historic cities, monuments and splendid mountains …

and many other very interesting villages...

Our second stay. This time 2 weeks. Wonderful place to stay. Quiet, close to Serralunga and facilities. This time we were with 2, at our first stay with 4. Very comfortable and with everything you need for a pleasant stay. We really recommend (but don’t reserve everything ! Please leave some weeks for us so we can visit again ! 😊)

Alles findet man hier.
